Common Sizes of Oriental Rugs

Most rugs are woven in rectangular configurations, starting at 2' x 3' up to mansion or palace size (above 12' x 18'). The sizes below are usually pretty exact on the city or sophisticated carpets, less exact on the nomadic or tribal pieces. There are always exceptions to these sizes and rugs are readily available to fit most unusual requirements.

Least common shape, but can be easily found in both new and antique carpets.
