Herati

The Herati carpet is a feraghan design, or a crisscross pattern, which looks like a repeated diamond. The feraghan pattern seen in the Herati is quite similar to the Bijar carpet, although the Herati typically does not have a medallion and corner design. Named for the city of Herat in eastern Iran, the Herati lends itself to a variety of room settings because of the nature of its all-over design.
