Heriz

The Heriz district is about 40 miles east of Tabriz and comprises many weaving villages, all in northwestern Iran. Most Heriz carpets are angular in design, with a large geometric medallion. Coloring is primarily reds and rusts, often with pastels. Most of the old Heriz we see now are in 9x12 room sizes.
