Qum

Historically, Qum has always been one of the finest rugs woven. The design is a classic Persian weave, characterized by an all over small vase with floral spray design and small intricate floral designs. It originated in the town of Qum in Persia, some 90 miles south of Ispahan. Qum is also spelled Qom, Gum, Goum and Ghum, but the correct pronunciation is cooom, rhyming with loom.
