Savonnerie

Savonnerie carpets are woven in the finest weaving centers of India, China and Pakistan. Reflecting the French influence, these carpets are in exquisite soft color combinations. Historically, the name Savonnerie indicated a handmade rug, woven in France, in a style reminiscent of Louis XIV and Louis XV furnishings. Similar to some Persian patterns, the distinction lies in the ornate, European look common to all Savonneries.
