Arakelian Rugs sells only handmade rugs of the finest quality. Handmade
rugs come in a variety of qualities, even though they might look

a great selection of over 800 rugs in stock at any given time, in
all sizes and colors. If we don’t have exactly what you are
looking for, we can get it for you. We have access to virtually
every fine handmade oriental rug available in the world today -
geometric, tribal, aubousson, needlepoint, vintage, classic and
traditional designs.
Unique to Arakelian Rugs is our free in-home decorating consultation
service and trial period. After viewing the rugs in your home or
our showroom, you are welcome to a free in-home trial period to
experience the rug and get the full effect of it’s potential
to enhance your home. You can also take advantage of our complete
shop at home service. Just call us to set up an appointment and
we will bring a sampling of rugs right to your home or office. Our
showroom comes to you!
Antique Rugs
We always have a nice complement of antique handmade rugs available
in stock and have access to anything on the antique rug market.
Condition and price vary depending on the individual pieces. We
are also always in the market to buy your antique rug, no matter
the age.
Padding
Padding extends the life of your rug by protecting it against wear,
dirt and the pounding of footsteps. Think of it as a shock absorber,
acting like a cushion between your rug and the hardness of a floor.
The padding also keeps the rug from slipping around.
A high quality pad is included in every sale of a new rug purchased
at Arakelian Rugs. Padding is available for purchase for an existing
rug. Bring us the rug or the exact dimensions and we will fit
the pad for you.
Webloc-this rubber pad is for runners and all
rugs under 6x9 and provides a non-skid property to your rug.
Felt-this dense material provides great support.
Durahold-the most expensive of our pads, it combines the
best properties of a non-skid with the ultimate support of a felt
pad.
Stay Down-holds area rugs on top of wall-to-wall to keep
rugs smooth and wrinkle free. This thin, sticky pad creates a
bond between the area rug and the wall-to-wall carpeting without
harming either.Also keeps homeowners and their guests from tripping
accidents.
Kilim Gift Items
We carry a large selection of kilim pillows, backpacks (with distressed
leather), pocketbooks and wallets. These make great gifts at holiday
time, too!
Tackless and Canvas Sleeves
Oriental rugs make beautiful works of art for your walls. We have
a very inexpensive product, tackless, that works beautifully when
hanging a rug up. The other option is to sew a canvas sleeve on
the back of the rug (does not harm the rug) and buy a decorative
rod to hang the rug from. Decorative rods are available at home
centers and department stores. Bring us your tapestry, antique or
silk rug, or just one of your favorites, and we will make the rug
into a great wallhanging.
Sales and Installation of Stair Runners
Most stairways lend themselves beautifully to the installation of
handmade runners. With the purchase of stair runners, free installation
by our own experts will create a beautiful and dramatic addition
to any home.
